Easiest five star review in years. We had an issue with our dishwasher and disposal and they came out on time and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. The two techs were professional and explained everything clearly throughout the process. I highly recommend Magic Sun to those needing an electrician.

We've been working with Magic Sun Electric and Magic Sun Solar for a decade now and they do excellent work.

In the past, we've had Magic Sun Electric help us with installing a charging station in our garage and then a few years later, converting the charging to a Tesla Universal Charger.

Fast forward a few months later and I was not liking the look of the TV wires hanging down from our wall-mounted TV. Thought of getting a kit on Amazon and digging a hole in the wall to hide the wires. But then we decided to get a quote from Magic Sun Electric and let the professionals handle it.

Chad responded promptly, gave me a quote and we were able to set up a day/time via text. On the day of, Jim and Nick showed up right on time and got the job done! I love looking at the wall and not seeing wires anymore!

We always know we are in good hands when dealing with Magic Sun Electric (as well as their solar side). Glad they are a local company that we can go to for spur-of-the-moment projects as well as recommend them to friends and family.

They have excellent service. We hired them to install recess lighting in our kitchen and a bedroom. I plan to use them again in the future.

Professional quote received, timely, and I've used them in the past for solar. I got a quote for electrical work this time, and they gave me great ideas to give me the best value for my project.

I needed an outdoor GFCI outlet installed so I could power an exterior security camera. My place in North Sacramento is quite old—original 110-volt wiring with a fuse box, plus a 220-volt junction box, and old rock hard exterior shingles that don't respond to cuts well.

Magic Sun Electric was recommended by a friend, so I gave them a call. I got an idea of the cost upfront, and they were able to fit me in within a week. I don’t remember the names of the two electricians, but they showed up on time, were easy to work with, and handled the job quickly and correctly. The cost was reasonable and inline with the estimate.

I’m glad I went with them. It’s also nice supporting a small, family-owned business—something I can appreciate as a small business owner myself.

I reached out to MSE regarding safe wiring updates needed in my attic for my bathroom fans. They came out the next day on time, inspected what was wrong, gave me a very reasonable quote, and fixed the issue right away. Very friendly guys and explained what they fixed for us.

Will definitely reach out to them again for our future home improvement projects.

Top notch contractor experience with Magic Sun Electrical. Had new LED shop lights and two new outlets installed in my garage. My first call to Magic Sun was answered by a live person and I had an inspection and estimate in my hands by the end of the day. Work was performed a week later. Chad and his crew were totally professional. On-time, on-budget, Clean, Quite, Competent and Efficient. I highly recommend Magic Sun Electrical and Solar.

Magic Sun Electric has worked their magic on our home multiple times! I'm so happy I found them! They were highly recommended by family and friends for their quality service.

I appreciate the ease with which I can make appointments; they are so kind to accommodate my erratic schedule. Electricians always show up reliably and on time; I highly recommend Jim and Tanner. They are tidy in their work, and always clean up, unlike other home contractors.

I needed some recessed lights installed and wasn't necessarily planning on going with the lowest bid, but Magic Sun were less than half than the other quotes I received so I figured I'd give them a shot, and I'm pleased with the finished product and overall experience. They showed up on time and did a great job at keeping the mess down to a minimum. There were no surprises or attempts to upsell; I got exactly what I wanted, when I wanted it and at the price I was quoted. I'll be returning in the future!

The guy showed up right on time, completed the project right on budget with the estimate. We had 3 ceiling fans installed. Happy with the service and would have them back out for other electrical needs when they arise.

Was so impressed with this company! Would definitely recommend them. I needed an attic fan and requested a quote which came immediately--maybe 1 hour later, and all my questions were answered. We scheduled quickly. The two men who came were on time and very professional. They even showed me pics of a problem with an area of my attic that they came across from when I had insulation installed a week before -from another company. They walked me through the app on my phone for the attic fan and showed me all they did. Done and done. Fast and professional. They even sent a lovely thank you card, handwritten. The quote was the best out of the 5 other competitors--who called me back. And so, this local business gets my confidence and referral.

I called three local electricians and all said they were too busy. Called Chad at Magic Sun and he had a repairman out in hours. Really good people and fair prices.

Couldn't be happier with my service from Magic Sun Electric. I had them out to switch out light switches and outlets. They were prompt in their responses and provided an accurate quote ahead of time. The crew showed up right on time and had the project done swiftly. In addition to being professional and efficient, the crew were very personable and a pleasure to work with.

I had them install ``permanent`` Christmas/string led lights. They did a great job & I felt really heard when describing what I wanted. They used a laser light to make sure lights were in a straight line.
I felt their quote was fair, not the cheapest but not the most expensive.

So far, everything has stayed put, even with the storm we just had. Side-note: I had them use cable staples I purchased ahead of time as I've heard the sticky tags included with the lights don't last long.

Prompt response for service request to replace failing fixtures. I had purchased replacement fixtures but the connection box was not there. Magic Sun had the needed part to complete the install. Work was done quickly and left with the old lights. Fee was reasonable for the work done. This was my third call to them for work and they are my first call each time.

They installed power to my new gate openers, and for a new carport. This involved underground conduit, wire, and connections. Chad's on-location consult was prompt and informative, and he continued to remain responsive to my texts when I had several questions. His team did the work timely and gave me good advice. The work appears to be of high quality and I will use them again in the near future for more work I need done.

Chad and his crew came out to our home to add a 50A RV outlet in the backyard and to add an electrical outlet in each bathroom as well as three of them in the garage. They showed up right on time, worked all day and finished by 4pm. They did an excellent job and did it all for a reasonable price. We couldn't be happier with Magic Sun Electric, and will be calling them again for any future electrical projects.

I hired Magic Sun to install 2 remote-controlled ceiling fans I had purchased, in rooms where there never have been ceiling fans or overhead lights. I received two bids from companies that never came out to inspect the site. Magic Sun was the only company that did, and maybe as a result, provided a slightly lower bid. The two-man crew arrived a little early to try to beat the heat in the attic. They communicated well with me and worked very efficiently. After the installation was completed, I was particularly impressed with the time they took to explain how the remotes worked. I would not hesitate to hire Magic Sun again.

We needed a solar attic fan installed, and no one returned our calls. Finally Neil with Magic Sun Solar said Hey! Magic Sun Electric can do that! They came out on one of the hottest days, and of course had to go into the attic to finish the job. Great crew, friendly and professional all the way. They had it completed in only a few hours. Would recommend this company to everyone!

I work for a property management company in the Sacramento/Placer County area and when we had a tricky electrical issue that was proving elusive, Kyle with Magic Sun Electric was able to locate, diagnose and repair our electrical issue in a very short time. Old Republic Home Protection referred Magic Sun Electric. Jim and Marcus arrived this morning to repair an outside outlet. They also checked the outlet near garbage disposal to ensure it was working properly. Jim and Marcus provided excellent customer service. I appreciate the work they provided while here. Thanks Magic Sun! Kyle and Marcus installed two outdoor porch lights, a dusk to dawn light to illuminate our flags, and a 120v outlet in our garage.

Loved working with Magic Sun. Looked all over for a company who would install 2 exhaust fans in my house. I contacted plumbers, HVAC companies, general contractors and none of them were able to help. I needed the fans to be vented to the outside of the house rather than just to the attic.

Then I finally found Magic Sun. I requested a quote through Yelp which was responded to very promptly. I was able to schedule Chad to come out to look at my house in a couple of days.

Chad was here on time, wearing a mask and we practiced social distancing while in my house. I received the estimate the same night he was here and was able to schedule the install for a couple of days out.

The team was here right on time (they both wore masks and practiced social distancing as well). We confirmed the spaces and which fan would go where and they got to work. Install for both fans (a humidity sensor exhaust fan in the bathroom and just a regular exhaust fan in the laundry area) were installed in about 3 hours. The guys were nice, worked quick and showed us where the kill switch was for the humidity sensor fan in the attic.

There was an issue with the bathroom fan dripping water after the first shower we took after it was installed. I emailed Chad to let him know about this and he said his team would be out the next business day (fans were installed Friday, we noticed it dripping on Saturday and Chad was able to come back out Monday). They had to install a larger duct in order to get the fan from leaking. They thought that the smaller duct was not able to move all of the air through properly. With the bigger duct installed, we have not had any issues with the fan leaking.

Would 100% recommend Magic Sun. Great customer service

Chad and his team installed some heaters for us on a new patio cover we'd had installed. He and his team were friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and did excellent work at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Magic Sun Electric!

I needed another dedicated electrical circuit to feed a new piece of equipment. We contacted ``Magic Sun Electric`` to address the need. They were first company on my list to contact ........ because of the stellar (experience) results we have achieved with our home solar system ..... that ``Magic Sun Solar`` installed two years ago. Amazing & reliable results / saving.

With this new project, a second electrical panel was required because our existing one did not have the space to accommodate an additional circuit. The entire job was finished in an incredibly short period of time (from when I reached out for help) and for less than had been estimated.

The folks we dealt with were knowledgeable, courteous, honest, and efficient. Good value for your dollar.

We had a great experience with Magic Sun. When I decided to purchase a pottery kiln I had to also to upgrade the electrical situation in my garage; Chad came out right away, gave me a fair quote, and the work was done within a week. I didn't specify which type of outlet prong formation I needed and when I got the kiln, I wasn't able to plug it in. I contacted Chad and he had someone out the same day to swap it out for me. Two neighbors also highly recommended them. Will definitely call them again the next time we need electrical work done!

Just had my Quiet Cool Whole House Fan installed and am super impressed. Chad, Jim and Marcus were amazing. For anyone interested in getting one, I recommend Magic Sun Electric!

We needed new LED lights installed throughout the house and we went with the same folks who provided our solar installation. The results, again, were superb. Chad and Kyle are top-notch electricians who have a great understanding of LED lighting.
